In 1995, a couple of Shakespeare aficionados moved here and started Island Stage Leftproviding not only an alternative to Carousel and My Fair Lady, but FREE THEATER on the island. At first they performed Shakespeare in their back forty under the stars -- now they offer their annual "Shakespeare Under the Stars" every July and August at Roche Harbor Resort.
