Tiny Orcas Island may not boast a ton of coffee shops, but the few it has earn great reviews!
Darvill's Bookstore, 296 Main St. (Eastsound) – Part bookstore, part coffee shop, Darvill’s is a place you could cozy up for an afternoon. They also host frequent events showcasing local artists and writers. Facebook page

Enzo’s Italian Caffe, 8368 Orcas Rd. (Orcas) – Enzo’s is a café as well as a coffee shop, offering a full menu of lunch items, but the coffee drinks and baked goods get particularly high ratings. Whether you head there for lunch or a snack, try Enzo’s traditional Italian espresso. Facebook page

Kathryn Taylor Chocolates, 68 N. Beach Rd. (Eastsound) – Offering coffee drinks along with hand-made, hand-painted chocolates, Kathryn Taylor Chocolates may be the ultimate indulgence. Some locals say their mochas are the best on the island. Website
Orcas Hotel Espresso Café/Bakery, 8 Orcas Hill Rd. (Eastsound) – On the lower floor of the Orcas Hotel, the café offers pastries and espresso drinks. It’s a convenient spot to wait for the ferry – or stay a night in the hotel, and get a complimentary breakfast with a free espresso drink. Website
Straight Shots, 296 Eastman Rd. (Eastsound) – Straight Shots doesn’t have a website, but it does have great reviews. With a focus on quality over quantity, there aren’t a lot of bells and whistles, but Straight Shots offers carefully-crafted drinks made from high-quality ingredients. Sorry, no website!
Teezer’s Cookies and Coffee House, 330 N. Beach Rd. (Eastsound) – Said to have pioneered the way for coffee shops on Orcas Island, Teezer’s offers a variety of baked goods, in addition to Starbucks coffee and specialty drinks.
